Officials in Cy-Fair ISD reported 225 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on campuses from Feb. 8-14, including 58 staff members and 167 students across the district. Another 17 cases were confirmed the week of Feb. 15-21, which consisted of one professional day for staff members and a full week of closures for students due to inclement weather.

This brings the district’s total number of cases reported since the start of the 2020-21 school year to 3,144. As of Feb. 22, CFISD reported 51 active cases and 3,093 recoveries.

Bridgeland High School was the campus with the highest number of new cases confirmed in the past two weeks with seven employees and 26 students.

The Texas Education Agency requires public school districts throughout the state to submit a weekly report detailing the number of test-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among students and employees who participate in any on-campus activity. This data does not include students learning remotely and may not include those who test positive while in quarantine if they were not on campus during their infectious period.

Weekly data is shown below, and campus-specific data can be found here.

CFISD students and staff members who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are eligible for free rapid testing services at the site where Windfern High School was formerly located, 12630 Windfern Road, Houston, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.

A student ID or employee badge is required to receive one of these free tests, and students under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian consent. See additional requirements here.
