Officials in Cy-Fair ISD reported 170 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Nov. 16-29, including 64 staff members and 106 students across the district. Most of these cases came the week leading up to Thanksgiving break from Nov. 16-22—only 38 cases were confirmed over the weeklong break when campuses were closed Nov. 23-29, according to district data.

This brings the district’s total number of reported cases to 747 since the start of the school year Sept. 8. The district reported 212 active cases and 535 recoveries Nov. 30.
About 61% of students enrolled in CFISD are attending in-person classes during the second grading period. This number is up from about 45% of students during the first grading period of 2020-21.
