In partnership with the Houston Food Bank, local nonprofit Cy-Hope is hosting a food distribution event July 17 at Lone Star College-CyFair, 9191 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress.
The event is slated to run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., or until all 1,500 food boxes are given away. All families and individuals are eligible to receive one food box per car.
Attendees are asked to enter the parking lot from Towne Lake Parkway, follow the signs through the distribution line and make sure the trunk or back seat is empty so volunteers can load boxes. Officials said all volunteer spots have been filled for this event as of July 14.
