General Assignment Reporter

Ryan joined Community Impact as a general assignment reporter in 2024. He covers education, local government and other issues affecting the Cy-Fair community. Previously, Ryan worked as a digital content producer for a television station in Little Rock, Arkansas, and as a sports reporter and anchor in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in December 2018, majoring in mass communication with a focus in multiplatform journalism and a minor in marketing. In May 2023, Ryan graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a master’s degree in sport management. When he's not writing, Ryan enjoys rooting on Houston’s sports teams, reading books and playing video games.
