For Heaven’s Cake has closed at 17488 Hwy. 290, Houston, and is slated to relocate to Huffmeister Road in February. The local bakery specializes in wedding cakes and also offers cookies, pies, brownies, cupcakes and cake balls, among other treats.

Owner Dawn Bradley said the new location is larger and provides more space for events such as classes and birthday parties.

“I started my bakery business as a cottage baker back in 2012 and eventually decided to leave the corporate world and open my storefront in 2018,” she said in an email. “I truly have the very best staff who absolutely love what they do. Together, we just want to have a happy, appreciative customer.”
