Officials with Southern Divas Boutique announced via Facebook on Jan. 15 that the store would close at the end of the month at Lakewood Towne Square, 12784 Grant Road, Cypress. Most items will be included in a 50% off sale through Jan. 31.

Melinda Strain and her daughter Erika Zielinski opened the Cypress store in August 2016, specializing in women’s clothing, home decor, shoes, jewelry and purses, among other accessories.

The owners said they would continue to focus on building their online presence and operating their original location at 23110 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Katy. Gift cards can be spent online or at the Katy location once the Cypress store closes, Strain said in a Facebook video announcement.
