Young Men’s Service League launched a new chapter in Jersey Village on according to an Aug. 20 news release and is now accepting new members including mothers and sons in 9th and 10th grade. The membership intake process closes Aug. 29.

The addition of the Jersey Village Chapter expands the organization’s footprint in Texas and provides new opportunities for local families to connect, lead, and serve.

About the program

Per the release, Young Men’s Service League is a national nonprofit dedicated to developing young men into community leaders through volunteering opportunities, leadership and life skills.

The chapter brings together mothers and their high school-aged sons to serve local philanthropies, while also building leadership and strengthening mother-son bonds.


“We are excited to see the impact this new chapter will have in Jersey Village,” Allison Ray, president of YMSL Jersey Village said. “Our goal is to instill a lifelong commitment to service in these young men while meeting real needs in our community.”

The history

Founded in 2001, Young Men’s Service League has 200 chapters across 22 states, representing more than 32,000 moms and sons. Since its inception, members have completed over two million hours of community service nationwide.
