Commissioners from Harris County Emergency Services District No. 11 appointed Jordan Anderson as permanent CEO at their regular meeting on June 24, according to a news release.

Anderson had been serving as interim CEO since late April after Jamie Chebra was terminated from the position.

How we got here

Chebra was removed from his position April 22 following an investigation, in which the district could not legally share details.

Commissioners then approved a motion to make Anderson interim CEO on April 29 during a special-called meeting. Anderson had been serving as chief quality officer prior to the appointment.

Anderson has been in the EMS industry for over 20 years. He worked at the Montgomery County Hospital District for 13 years and previously served as CEO of Sterling EMS before joining ESD 11.
