Ahead of adopting the fiscal year 2026-27 budget June 22, the Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees will hold a public hearing June 18 regarding the budget.
What you need to know
The district's previous budget update at the May 21 special-called board meeting showed the estimated shortfall for FY 2026-27 sat at $67.4 million, prior to the board’s majority decision to add two budget lines regarding one-time stipends and health insurance totaling $13.5 million, as previously reported by Community Impact.
Documents for the June 18 meeting show CFISD’s estimated FY 2026-27 shortfall is now $80.9 million.
The board will also consider approving a resolution regarding the district's financial ability to comply with the state’s requirement of seatbelts in school buses through Senate Bill 546.
