Cy-Fair ISD administrative staff will present several status updates on the district’s long-term goals, including new virtual learning options, increased graduation rates and improved teacher retention, at the upcoming November board work session.

At a glance

According to the agenda for the Nov. 6 work session and Nov. 10 regular meeting, CFISD staff will present reports on:
  • Monthly progress from the Long-Range Planning Committee, responsible for evaluating the district’s future infrastructure needs
  • CFISD’s Virtual Pathways Program for the 2026-27 school year
  • Progress of the district’s 2024-2029 Strategic Plan, specifically related to human resources objectives, including teacher retention and compensation
  • The district’s goal to increase the four-year graduation rate by 1% each year
The board will consider approving changes to the district's Strategic Plan as recommended by administrative staff, per the agenda.

Also of note

The board will also hold a public hearing at the start of the Nov. 6 work session to discuss the district’s 2023-24 state financial accountability rating. CFISD scored 98 out of 100 possible points, a "superior achievement," according to Texas Education Agency reports.


Both meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Mark Henry Administration Building at 11440 Matzke Road, Cypress.
