What you need to know
Bus schedules are set to be released at the beginning of August, according to a district announcement, and all students residing within CFISD boundaries will have access to bus transportation.
Students who qualify for reduced price meals will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge for the next two academic years thanks to a subsidy from the Texas Legislature, according to the district.
All students who attend CFISD campuses that qualify for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s school nutrition program will automatically receive the benefit. Those who don’t attend a qualifying campus but need free meals must fill out an online application.
The last day to update student information in the district parent portal is Aug. 1. Parents and guardians are required to verify or update contact information, mailing address, emergency contacts and other authorizations.
