Barracks Bites Cafe & Snacks opened in Pearland in early October, serving pizza, burgers, loaded nachos and other shareable snacks. Located inside the Veterans of Foreign Wars post, the cafe also offers sweet treats from sister company Events by Lindsay.Margarita Jones opened a second location in Seabrook, with its first in West Columbia, Texas. The Tex-Mex restaurant offers daily specials, seafood, tacos, enchiladas and other traditional dishes.Ting Tea offers a variety of hot and iced teas, as well as boba drinks, smoothies and desserts. Trippin Taco, a halal Mexican food truck, will make its Houston debut early November with free food, discounts and giveaways. Trippin Taco, founded by food truck creator Ahmad Kilani, will serve Mexico City-inspired cuisine that incorporates halal Angus beef.Jeju Island Korean BBQ & Sushi is set to open a second location in the Meyerland area, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The Pearland business serves authentic Korean barbecue and fresh sushi as well as hibachi and rice dishes.Avesta Persian and Middle Eastern will soon open a second location in Katy, with its first restaurant on Westheimer Road in Houston. The Persian eatery serves kabobs, curries, vegetarian food and other traditional dishes, per its website.
