Texas-themed bar and restaurant The Annex Crafthouse has new ownership after local couple Justin and Nikki Green took over the business on July 1.

Meet the owners

Nikki Green said she and her husband bought the business from former owner Reese Kimball after visiting the restaurant as patrons. She said they will continue to pay homage to the restaurant's name, called "Annex" for the annexation of Texas in 1845, by continuing to offer themed menu items.

"Our focus has been on improving the customer experience and the feedback from those who have been patrons since the restaurant's original grand opening has been emphatically positive," she said. "With all new endeavors come new challenges but thanks to supportive and encouraging customers, we have steered the ship in the right direction."

On the menu

The restaurant offers a variety of small bites and full entrees, many of which are named to celebrate Texas, like the King Ranch pretzel or the "Come and Take It" nachos. The crafthouse also serves several vegan options and a large variety of beer, wine and spirits.
