This list is based on enrollment projections and building capacities, and was recommended by the district’s boundaries, projections and planning department, Director of General Administration Kristi Giron said.
“Our goal is to provide as many options as possible within the constraints of the capacities and to accommodate student and parent preference,” Giron said.
In addition to these, 86 campuses will be closed to new student transfers but open to children of district employees. All campuses are included in this category except Bridgeland High School, Cypress Ranch High School, Cypress Woods High School and Wells Elementary School, according to Giron. However, exceptions may be made at these four campuses for children of district employees assigned to facilities in those specific attendance zones.
Transfer applications will be available in the registrar’s office on all campuses or on the district website starting April 3 through the end of the transfer window on June 1. Campuses have a limited number of transfers, and requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
