Montgomery County is proposing widening FM 1486 from two lanes to four lanes between FM 1774 and Jackson Road. An open house about the project will be held on Thursday, April 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the Magnolia Event Center.

According to a notice posted on the county’s website, Montgomery County is proposing widening FM 1486 from two lanes to four lanes, with:
- A raised median
- Outside shoulders
- Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations
- Drainage via roadside ditch
At the open house, attendees will be able to view a pre-recorded presentation, review project materials, ask questions and submit written comments.
The in-person open house will be held on Thursday, April 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the Magnolia Event Center. A virtual open house will be available starting April 3 at 5 p.m. at www.isaniconsultants.com/FM1486.
