The Bayou Land Conservancy has completed a conservation agreement with Tranquility Ranch, which will permanently preserve 966 acres in Montgomery County, according to a Feb. 8 news release.
In a nutshell
Tranquility Ranch is located northeast of Magnolia in Montgomery County, according to the news release. The property is also home to the events venue The Wyldes at Tranquility Ranch.
The property features over 400 acres of existing wetland habitat, 20 acres of streams and ponds, and 13,000 linear feet of stream frontage on Lake Creek, according to the news release. The preservation of the property will provide community benefits, including flood control and water quality improvements.

“This conservation agreement is a keystone preservation in the Lake Creek and greater West Fork San Jacinto River watershed,” BLC Executive Director Jill Boullion said via news release. “It makes a significant stride towards BLC’s conservation goals to preserve land in the Lake Houston watershed that will provide positive impacts in the region for generations to come.
