Montgomery County Food Bank’s holiday food and funds drive, Holiday Helpings, raised over 300,000 meals for people in need in Montgomery County, nonprofit officials announced in a Jan. 17 news release.
In a nutshell
The drive was held between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, with the community able to participate through sponsorships, or serving as a food or funds drive host, according to the news release.
“Montgomery County Food Bank is truly grateful for the community participating in Holiday Helpings and making a meaningful difference this holiday season,” said Kristine Marlow, President and CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank, via news release. “The need for food assistance has surged to record highs in recent months, so their support couldn’t have come at a more critical time. Together, we are truly stronger in the fight against hunger.”
