Lone Star offers primary care services, including dental, women's health and behavioral health services. As a federally qualified health center, it serves individuals on Medicare, Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program plans as well as those without insurance.
Duke Coon, who serves as the center's board of directors chair and was previously on the Conroe City Council, wrote in the organization's 2021 report that after the center's vaccination efforts in 2021, "a return to strategic objectives and projects resumed."
"Lone Star Family Health Center is always looking for ways to deliver high-quality, compassionate health care across our community," Coon wrote.
Coon said the organization's Willis center, which opened in December 2015, would expand this year, while the Conroe location will expand in 2024.
Lone Star operates locations in Conroe, Spring, Willis, Grangerland and Huntsville. The locations can be seen on the embedded map.
