Partners in Primary Care will open an office in Conroe in the winter of 2020, according to a June 11 press release. The senior-focused primary care provider is looking to hire about 80 clinicians and support staff for its Conroe location as well as nine other locations in the Greater Houston area.

“Seniors in Houston have welcomed us with open arms, and we’re so excited to significantly expand our presence here and the number of patients we’ll be able to serve,” said Jay Obendorfer, Texas and Louisiana market president of Partners in Primary Care. “There is a genuine appreciation for our comprehensive, personalized health care model, which includes helping patients with social, behavioral and financial needs.”


The positions include administrators, behavioral health specialists, center administrators, clinical pharmacists, community engagement representatives, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians and social workers.

REPORT: COVID-19 cases in children increase by 90% nationwide in 1 month

As school district officials across the U.S. prepare for the start of the 2020-21 school year, 179,990 new COVID-19 cases were reported in children nationwide between July 9 and Aug. 6—an increase of 90%, according to a report compiled by The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association.
