What you need to know
The court authorized a $132,045 agreement with HR Green Inc. for design and engineering services related to a project on Rayford Road at Discovery Creek Boulevard in Precinct 3.
The project will add a signalized intersection and left-turn lanes to improve traffic flow and safety, according to the agenda.
In Precinct 1, commissioners approved an agreement with LJA Engineering Inc. totaling about $1.87 million for the Lone Star Parkway expansion from FM 149 to Hwy. 105.
The contract will follow a milestone-based payment method, with each installment capped at $1 million until completion.
How we got here
Both projects are funded through the $480 million road bond approved by voters in May, which supports infrastructure improvements across Montgomery County, as previously reported.
During its July 29 meeting, Montgomery County commissioners voted to use the first allocation of $128 million in funding as needed across all precincts, rather than each precinct being allocated a set amount.
