Editor's note: This article has been updated with information from the Montgomery County Elections Office about polling locations.

During its Sept. 9 meeting, the Montgomery County Commissioners Court gave approval for consolidated polling locations for the Nov. 4 election.

What this means

Registered Montgomery County voters must vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day. According to the Montgomery County Elections Office, precincts will be consolidated for the November election, meaning some voters will cast their ballots at a different location than usual.

Voters are encouraged to check the county’s elections website for their assigned Election Day polling place once the list is posted next week, Cynthia Jamieson, Montgomery County assistant elections administrator, said.

Polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 4. Entities holding elections in conjunction with the county will also use these locations.

Those who will hold elections in conjunction with the county will also use these location options.
