According to the agenda packet, commissioners will hear a presentation of the FY 2026 preliminary budget. Commissioners are also expected to authorize negotiations with professional engineering and environmental assessment services for the Tamina Economic Development Project.
The project is part of a broader effort to improve water and sewer infrastructure in the historic Tamina community, as previously reported.
Also on the agenda
A public hearing will be held to gather feedback on proposed changes to Montgomery County Floodplain Management Regulations.
Per the agenda, the updates would require additional permitting materials in unincorporated areas, including The Woodlands and other developments in potentially flood-prone areas. The goal is to reduce flood risk and improve resilience by tightening development rules. If approved, the updated regulations would go into effect Oct. 1.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. July 28 at 501 N. Thompson St., Ste. 402 in Conroe. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the county's website.
