Conroe chamber to host road bond forum April 16

The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce will host a road bond forum on April 16 in partnership with Robert Walker, Montgomery County Precinct 1 commissioner.

The forum will take place on April 16 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Owen Theatre. At the event, attendees will learn about the planned projects, tax implications for businesses and the community, and potential impacts to businesses and the community, according to an April 14 Facebook post.

How we got here

On Feb. 11, Montgomery County commissioners approved putting a $480 million road bond on the May 3 ballot, Community Impact previously reported. There are 76 total proposed road projects across the county, with 13 within Precinct 1.
