The Montgomery County Memorial Library System will host its annual summer reading program from June 2-July 26 at all seven branches across the county, according to an April 30 news release.
The details
The program's theme is “Color Our World” and the program is open to all ages. Participants can read books, articles, audiobooks or articles. They can log their books and minutes using the Reader Zone app or a paper log from their home branch library and earn rewards, according to the news release.
The seven libraries will offer a variety of free, public events throughout the summer, including pizza parties, scavenger hunts and more. Some events may require preregistration due to limited space or supplies, according to the news release.
The program was made possible through county funding, Friends of the Library groups and sponsors, according to a news release.

- R.F. Meador Library: 709 W. Montgomery St., Willis
- George and Cynthia Mitchell Library: 8125 Ashlane Way, The Woodlands
- South Regional Library: 2101 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands
- R.B. Tullis Library: 21569 Hwy. 59, New Caney
- Charles B. Stewart Library: 202 Bessie Price Owen Drive, Montgomery
“The summer reading program is an opportunity for our community to participate in enriching and entertaining programs while enhancing literacy,” MCMLS Library Director Janna Hoglund said via news release.
