With 91 of 100 Election Day precincts reporting, Mike Hopkins, Shawn Denison and Laurie Turner have taken commanding leads ahead their opponents.

Hopkins has received 11,381 votes against incumbent Jim Dossey's 7,663, and Denison has received 12,758 against opponent Adam Simmons's 5,362.

Turner has received 13,859 votes against opponent Ron Herridge, who received 5,768.

Turner is set to replace current board member David Eargle, who has chosen to step down once his term expires.

Early results for the Montgomery ISD board of trustees are coming in after polls closed at 7 p.m.

For Position 1, Mike Hopkins is leading with 9,251, or 60.38% of votes, against opponent Jim Dossey, who has 6,071 votes, or 39.62%. Meanwhile, for Position 2, Shawn Denison is leading with 10,372 votes, or 71.04% of votes. Opponent Adam Simmons currently has 4,229 votes, or 28.96%.

Laurie Turner is leading with 11,188 votes, or 70.78% of the total, in the Position 3 race. Opponent Ron Herridge has 4,618 votes, or 29.22% of the total.

Results are updated as of 7:12 p.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4, if they were sent from inside the U.S., or Nov. 9 if they were sent from outside the U.S.
