Work is underway on several Willis ISD projects, including the construction of new campuses. See the latest updates below.

Ninth-grade center
  • Project: The center is a new expansion project for Willis High School as well as the parking lot.
  • Update: Permits are waiting to be approved and breaking ground to begin soon, WISD Chief Operations Officer Bob Eaton said at the Nov. 12 meeting.
  • Location: 10005 Hwy. 75, Willis
  • Timeline: fall 2027 completion
Elementary School No. 7
  • Project: The new elementary campus, funded by WISD’s $143 million 2022 bond, will have an 850-student capacity.
  • Update: The district has the exterior up and is getting the interior ready. Permits have been submitted to Montgomery County, Eaton said.
  • Location: 8150 M.P. Clark Road, Conroe
  • Timeline: spring 2025-August 2026
Transportation Center
  • Project: The new center will accommodate 100 buses along with staff offices.
  • Update: The project was paused due to budgetary restraints, Eaton said.
  • Location: 215 Philpot St., Willis
  • Timeline: spring 2026 completion
