Parmley Elementary School in Willis ISD has been recognized as a model professional learning community by professional development company Solution Tree, according to a June 8 press release. The school is one of only 200 in the U.S. and Canada recognized.
The recognition is based on the implementation of Solution Tree’s concepts of collaborative culture, results-based orientation and a focus on learning as well as on measurable student success. These concepts must be in place for three years for a school to be considered, according to the press release.
“We are excited to receive this outstanding honor. Parmley teachers have been collaborating and discussing students and student data to better meet each child’s needs,” Parmley Principal Kelley Moore said.
