Homes have started selling in Briarley, a new community in Montgomery owned by Johnson Land Ventures, according to a May 19 news release.

A closer look

Briarley, which sits off Old Plantersville Road near Hwy. 105, will have a mix of 60-, 70- and 80-foot homesites in its first phase, according to the release. The current prices of the homes are from $520,000s, according to the release.

“These larger homesites fill a void in the residential landscape with most other communities topping out at 60-foot lots,” Michael Cox, president of Johnson Land Ventures, said in the release. “Briarley residents will have ample space for large one-story designs, a pool, play space, gardens and more.”

The community was initially planned as Redbird Meadow and has been in development since 2021, according to the Houston Association of Realtors.

Families living in Briarley will be zoned to schools within Montgomery ISD.

Johnson Land Ventures has three active Houston-area communities, including Amira in Tomball, Candela in Richmond and the Everly community in northwest Harris County. In 2024, the company opened Nolina in Georgetown.
