The Texas-inspired architectural showcase will have 14 fully furnished model homes priced from the $300,000s to the $800,000s, along with live music, Texas cuisine and handcrafted goods made by Texan artists, according to the release.
“As our first public event, the grand opening will be a Texas-sized celebration of everything Colton stands for,” Lisa Connell, marketing director for Airia Development Company, said.
The backstory
The community has a build-out value estimated at $9.9 billion, according to an April 2024 news release. Over the next 20 years, the community will include single-family homes with long-term plans to have 500 acres of mixed-used parcels planned for multifamily, retail and medical use.
Construction on Phase 1 began in April 2024, according to previous Community Impact reporting. The first phase planned to bring about 685 lots ranging from 45 feet to 80 feet wide. Model homes and the first homebuyer purchase opportunities were slated to begin in late 2024, according to a December 2024 news release.
What they’re saying
“With our focus on Texas living, Colton is different, and we want homebuyers to be able to see that difference from the moment they drive into the community, to their first walk-up to our model homes,” Connell said.
Also of note
Families moving into the first phase of the community’s development will be zoned to Magnolia ISD, according to the May 7 release. Future phases include proposed on-site schools.
