Landmark 301, an affordable senior living complex, officially opened Aug. 27 in downtown Conroe.

With 48 total units, the complex is for 55-plus individuals, and offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units ranging from 573-1,039 square feet with prices ranging from $371-$994, according to the complex’s website.

Studio units, one-bedroom units and two-bedroom units in Landmark 301 will be limited to senior households earning 30%, 50% and 60% of the area median income or less, respectively.

Landmark 301 repurposed the former Montgomery County Hospital and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in April.

April Engstrom, director of development for Overland Property Group, the developer of Landmark 301, said Overland Property Group was awarded state funding for the project in 2022 after being denied in 2021.
