The Lone Star Family Health Center—one of Montgomery County's two vaccination hub locations—released new scheduling information Monday for its second week of vaccinations.
The Conroe health care provider plans to open a registration period for Jan. 26 vaccination appointments beginning at 6 p.m. Jan. 25, via online scheduling available at www.lonestarvaccine.com. The provider also opened a vaccination waiting list for those unable to immediately register for new appointments.

The Montgomery County Public Health District's initial preregistration for COVID-19 vaccinations filled in less than 30 minutes after the program's launch Jan. 25.
Misti Willingham, public information officer for the health district, said the entity's servers were down just before the online preregistration period opened at 2 p.m. due to "overwhelming response," resulting in a shift to the county hospital district's website. Willingham said the preregistration list was full less than a half hour later and that more updates will be provided as further vaccine doses are received. The health district was allocated 400 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine this week.

Two health clinics in Montgomery County will offer preregistration for COVID-19 vaccinations Jan. 25. The Montgomery County Public Health District will open its preregistration list at 2 p.m. for those who meet qualifications, which include adults age 65 and older and adults 18 and older with at least one chronic medical condition, such as cancer, heart conditions or Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The MCPHD is expected to receive 400 doses this week.
To register, visit www.mchd-tx.org at 2 p.m. A link for preregistration will be available at 2 p.m, but preregistration does not guarantee an appointment. An email on Jan. 26 will arrive between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from [email protected] to schedule an appointment, according to the MCPHD. Individuals will have 24 hours from the time the email is sent to make the appointment. If steps are not completed within 24 hours, the spot will be released to the next person on the list.
Further instructions on location will be provided when the appointment is made.
If an individual is on the preregistration list and does not receive a vaccine in this allocation, they will be required to sign up again for the next allocation.
Lone Star Family Health Center will also open preregistration this evening. The center will announce the exact time this afternoon. This story will be updated once that information is announced. The clinic is expected to receive an additional 2,000 doses this week.
Last week, the center filled up for appointment slots within 30 minutes of opening.
