Montgomery County's active coronavirus cases continue slow drop; 69th death reported Aug. 3

Montgomery County reported two additional deaths Aug. 3, bringing the total death toll to 69, according to a daily case count by the county's public health district.

A hospitalized man in his 20s from Conroe died. No comorbidities have been noted in his case. A woman in her 80s from Montgomery also died in the hospital. She had comorbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.


Total cases increased by 95 from July 31-Aug. 3, reaching 6,291. Active cases decreased by 95 to 2,316, and 65 of those residents are in the hospital. Meanwhile, 3,734 people have clinically recovered.
