Previous case count updates have run incorrect calculations for several points on the seven-day new case average chart. These have been corrected.

Montgomery County Public Health District confirmed 538 active coronavirus cases June 16, a jump of 40 from June 15. This is the second highest peak in active cases the county has seen. It is also the county's highest seven-day new case average, which has been trending upward since June 9.

Of those, seven are hospitalized. Meanwhile, 788 have recovered, and the county's death toll remains at 33.

This brings the total cases to 1,359, an increase of 59 since June 15.

However, hospitalizations remain low.
