The deadline for candidate filing for the May 7 general election closed Feb. 18, with six candidates running for local offices in the city of Montgomery.
City Council places 2 and 4, and the position of mayor will be on the ballot. Early voting will start April 25 and end May 3.
Applications for a vote-by-mail ballot must be submitted before April 26, and April 7 is the last day to register to vote for the May 7 election, according to the Texas Secretary of State's Office.
