MoCo Bouldering and Fitness, a bouldering and fitness facility, is gearing up to have its grand opening in Conroe in mid-July, business officials confirmed via email.

The facility offers almost 6,000 square feet of bouldering walls, over 4,000 square feet of fitness space and over 20 hours a week of group fitness instruction.

Staff and owner Zac Shoulders are fitness professionals who share a goal of bouldering being recognized as a sport and want to demonstrate the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, officials said.

Starting in July, the facility will begin its kids teams, one competition team and one recreational team. Both teams will receive structured practice, local tournaments, regional and national competitions. The facility is also certified as off-campus physical education by Conroe ISD, officials said.
