Conroe Golf Cars, a certified dealer of three brands that offers service, repairs and leasing, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The business first opened July 13, 1974.

"It's a family-owned business started by Jim and Carolyn Sebastian and their son John Sebastian, who now run it," said Curt Maddux, vice president and chief operating officer of Conroe Golf Cars. "Mr. Sebastian passed away 20 years ago, but the legacy is still here, and we work with the family-first environment, and the majority of our employees here have 20 years."

Maddox said customers of Conroe Golf Cars include the Houston Texans, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, dealerships and apartment complexes from the area.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, any cart purchased before the end of the year gets $500 off, Maddux said.
