Open Arms Boutique opened July 25 at 3501 N. Frazier St., Conroe. The boutique is a branch of the nonprofit I Am Whole, which aims to “empower individuals with ADHD” and was founded in 2018, according to founder Jacorea Taylor. Taylor said the boutique takes clothing, furniture and home goods donations.

Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. opened its service center at 600 Conroe Park W., Conroe, on Aug. 3. According to a press release, this $11.1 million center employs 72 people and allows faster response times for deliveries to North Houston. 936-494-1416. www.odfl.com

Future funding for Montgomery County thoroughfares unclear as state faces $4.58 billion shortfall

Since December, Montgomery County commissioners have been updating their 2016 thoroughfare plan, which will provide a comprehensive list of transportation needs. With funds from the county’s last road bond in 2015 beginning to dwindle, officials said they would need to identify funding at some point in the future.
