A June 9 report by Montgomery County Public Health District brought both somber and positive news.

The county confirmed two additional deaths related to coronavirus, bringing the death count to 40, according to a daily case count by the county health district. There are 221 COVID-19 patients in Montgomery Count hospitals, a decrease of 6 from July 8. Of these, 51 are in ICU beds, and 170 are in general beds.
