The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County has increased from 797 June 29 to 832 on June 30, according to a daily case count released by the county's health district. This is the highest number of active cases to date.

The number of total positive cases increased by 105 to 2,133. Of the 832 active cases who are Montgomery County residents, 23 are in the hospital. Meanwhile, 1,265 people have recovered.


Overall, 166 people remain hospitalized in Montgomery County medical facilities due to COVID-19, including nonresidents, which is an increase of 32 since June 29. Of those, 120 are in general beds, and 46 are in ICU beds, according to data from the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council. On June 29, 93 people were in general beds, and 41 were in ICU beds.
