The closure is set to take place at TxDOT crews continue to work on project to widen and improve connector ramps between Loop 610 and I-69 in southwest Houston.
The $259 million project has been underway since 2017 and is slated for completion in 2024. The project is intended to improve safety and mobility by widening the connector ramps to two lanes, increasing sight distances and providing remedies to eliminate weaving.
The Westheimer Road ramp closure is expected to last until around the fall of 2023, TxDOT officials said in a Tweet.
