The Missing Piece, Sneaker Vault, Refresqueria and more now open in Rice Village

Houston’s Rice Village has seen extensive business activity over the last few months with several key openings, including sneaker stores, a Mexican snack-focused shop and more.

The Missing Piece opened in the shopping district on Nov. 19 at 2476 Times Blvd., Houston. The store serves as a combination of a department store, incubator and stepping stone for local small businesses looking to move into a full retail presence with their offerings. The store features an ever-changing landscape of thoughtful, exciting and local brands, stories, and events. 281-846-6914.

Sneaker Vault, at 2513 Rice Blvd., Houston, held its soft opening Nov. 13. Whether customers are looking to buy, sell, trade or consign, Sneaker Vault offers difficult-to-find shoes, including retro Jordan 1s, Travis Scott Nikes, Yeezys and more. 713-505-1140.

Refresqueria, a snack-focused shop offering specialty drinks, fruit bowls, chamoy, candy, ice cream, snow cones, elote, mangonadas and more, held a soft opening for its new Rice Village location on Nov. 7 at 5407 Morningside Drive, Houston. The opening marks the shop’s second location with its first opening in Texas City in 2018. 713-750-9873.

Isidora Flower and Gift Shop opened in early September in Rice Village. The flower shop, owned by Thalia Jaguande, offers a wide range of flowers, including peonies, roses, sunflowers, and tulips, with arrangements available for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. Various color options are also available, including pinks, oranges, reds, purples, and yellows. Online ordering is preferred. 713-393-7108.

Poison 91 Fleurs, a luxury rose boutique offering a wide array of arrangements across a spectrum of colors, opened a location at Rice Village at 2470 Times Blvd., Houston, in September. Offerings include rose teddy bears and rose boxes with real roses that last 1-3 years. 504-316-0959.

SkinSpirit, a Botox and filler provider, opened its doors in Rice Village at 2401 Times Blvd., Ste. 110, Houston, in mid-September. This marks the brand’s 18th location nationwide and the third location in Texas following clinic openings in Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth, respectively. Led by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Dean Vistnes, SkinSpirit offers Botox wrinkle reduction, filler volume rejuvenation and a variety of skin care treatments. 346-398-6100.
