Health & Wellness Edition: Evergreen Park prepares to kick off capital campaign

The project has already garnered close to $700,000 in proceeds, as of Dec. 1. The sum includes a combination of grants, fundraising and event promotion.

Cohen-Taylor said the overall cost of the project is slated to cost approximately $6 million to $8 million. The final estimate will depend on the final design plan chosen, she said.

Next steps

Cohen-Taylor said the next step of the process is to receive council approval of the conceptual design, which will take place in January. As of Jan. 13, the item has not yet appeared before council. Bellaire's final City Council session in January will be held Jan. 26 at 6 p.m.

After council approval, the committee will kick off a capital campaign in 2026 to raise funds for the rest of the redevelopment.
