Bradley T. Lembcke was selected as president of Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, the flagship academic medical institution of the St. Luke’s Health System in the Texas Medical Center.

Lembcke's new role was effective March 4, according to a news release. Baylor St. Luke's is a joint venture with Baylor College of Medicine and serves as one of the medical school's teaching hospitals. Dr. Paul Klotman serves as president and CEO of Baylor College of Medicine and said in a news release that Lembcke is an excellent choice for the role.

“He has been a proven leader at the [Texas] Medical Center during his tenure. Dr. Lembcke has been a member of the Baylor College of Medicine faculty since joining Baylor St. Luke’s and has provided strong support for the college’s missions of healthcare, education and research,” said Klotman.

Prior to joining St. Luke’s Health as senior vice president and chief medical officer in 2018, Lembcke worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas as an internal medicine hospitalist.

During his 21 years at the Dallas hospital, Lembcke also kept a clinical practice, building and leading a large hospitalist group that ultimately cared for more than 400 patients a day. He served as Baylor University Medical Center chief of staff for three years and was chief medical officer from 2013 to 2018.
