Dia del Nino

Dia del Nino, or day of the child in Spanish, will be celebrated all day long at the Houston Children’s Museum. Families can enjoy story time, a bilingual puppet show, a live cultural dance and games, as well as creating one’s own notebook.

Family STEAM Day

A hands-on, free, family-friendly STEAM workshop, which stands for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, will take place Saturday at the Ion. Students will learn to build a tripwire alarm using circuits and buzzers to detect movement. They will also explore key concepts such as conductivity, switches and how security systems function. The event is catered for 7-14 year olds and their families, according to the event page. Registration is required and lunch will be provided.

Texas Children’s Hospital and Hopdoddy Burger Bar fundraiser



Texas Children’s Hospital and Hopdoddy Burger Bar in Rice Village will be partnering for an all-day fundraiser on Saturday. Customers can donate 20% on all purchases when they visit the Rice Village restaurant.

Spring line dance and wellness fest

Emancipation Park in Houston’s Third Ward will be the location for a spring line dance and wellness fest. Learn line dance moves and connect with community health partners for valuable wellness resources.

2025 Houston March of Dimes Babies Walk

Take a walk at TMC Helix Park in support for accessible care for mothers and babies in the local Houston community. March of Dimes’ annual fundraising event will be an opportunity for families to come together and support other families through their parenthood journey while raising funds for the nonprofit. Funds will support research, programs, education and advocacy, according to a news release. Free parking options are listed on the event website here. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk will kick-off at 9 a.m.
