Slip Sliders

Selling chef-driven sliders and hand-battered chicken tenders, the fast casual restaurant opened next to Hermann Park. Customers can order sides and milkshakes as well.

Wingbay

The wing restaurant debuted in the Houston market in October, with the first spot to open near Loop 610. Wingbay sells halal wings, tenders, fries and sides.

Krua Thai & Sushi

Once occupied by Thai Gourmet, this new Thai restaurant specializes in similar cultural dishes such as noodle dish pad thai, curry, pineapple fried rice and kao soi. Sushi will also be available.

Uberrito

The Tex-Mex franchise plans to open a third restaurant in late 2025 to early 2026 near Westpark Drive. The spot is known for its burritos and bowls with options such as beef, chicken and seafood.

Gypsy Poet

The local pizzeria is poised to open its third location in Rice Village by the end of 2025. According to the TDLR filing, the restaurant will replace the former Thai Village Restaurant and is anticipated to be completed by Dec. 31.

By Popular Demand

Known for creating an environment similar to a living room hangout, the neighborhood bar offers top-shelf spirits, whisky, bourbon, wine and classic cocktails. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor patio. According to a TDLR filing, it is slated to open in mid-2026.

Panera Bread

The American multinational chain of bakery, cafe and fast casual restaurants serves soups, sandwiches and pasta. According to TDLR, the new Meyerland Plaza location will be under construction from November to May.
