After almost a year of serving customers in Rice Village, Milton's is expanding its hours to open on Sundays from 4-9 p.m. starting on Labor Day weekend.

The details

The Italian restaurant is a member of Benjy Levit's Local Foods Group and is led by Executive Chef Kent Domas and Creative Director Seth Siegel-Gardner. Described as an American Trattoria, the restaurant's menu features classic and creative Italian starters, salads, pastas and entrees, including chicken parmigiana, ricotta gnocchi and panzanella.

According to an Aug. 15 news release, Sunday dinners will offer the same feast family-style mainstays, as well as small-batch house-made pastas like the 100-layer lasagna, wood-fired meats, fresh seafood and regularly rotating desserts like tiramisu and olive oil cake.

Milton's also offers a selection of cocktails and a 150 plus wine list.

Something to note

The restaurant will also celebrate 30 years in business in September. According to the release, Houston Mayor John Whitmire is poised to proclaim Sept. 9 as Local Foods Group Day in celebration of the anniversary.

On launch day, Aug. 31, guests 21 and older will also receive a complimentary glass of bubbly, while supplies last.
