Houston Restaurant Weeks, an annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, starts Aug. 1 and runs until Sept. 1, according to the fundraiser’s website. During this time, local restaurants partner with the Cleverley Stone Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to beating hunger in Houston, and serve specially-priced, fixed menus for brunch ($25), lunch ($25) or dinner ($39 or $55).
The options
According to its website, the Houston Food Bank can make three meals for every $1 donated. The 15 restaurants participating in the fundraiser in the West University, Bellaire and Meyerland area include:

- Candelari’s Italiano: 2617 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston
- El Meson Restaurant: 2425 University Blvd., Houston
- Roma: 2347 University Blvd., Houston
- Black Walnut: 5510 Morningside Drive, Houston
- Hamsa: 5555 Morningside Drive, Houston
- Salento Bistrot: 2407 Rice Blvd., Houston
- Coppa Osteria: 5210 Morningside Drive, Houston
- Adair Kitchen West University: 5176 Buffalo Speedway, Houston
- Craft Pita Buffalo Speedway: 5172 Buffalo Speedway, Houston
- Silk Road: 2929 Westpark Drive, Houston
Last year, Houston Restaurant Weeks raised over $2 million, according to the Houston Food Bank. The food bank said the event has funded more than 68 million meals over the past 21 years.
