According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction is anticipated to start Oct. 31 on a new Atomic Wings restaurant located along Main Street near the Texas Medical Center and the Braeswood neighborhood.

What they offer

Atomic Wings serves specialty chicken wings and tenders, paired with a variety of sauces and spice rubs, including honey mustard, lemon pepper, buffalo and Thai chili. Flavors range from sweet to hot, with its namesake "atomic" accompanied by three other options classified as hot—mango habanero, hot buffalo and nuclear.

Customers can choose from buffalo wings, boneless wings, tenders, or grilled wings in 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100 sizes.

Other menu items include chicken sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, sides and desserts, including jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, deep-fried Oreos and brownies.
