Construction on a new 3,305-square-foot Whataburger next to Weslayan Street was estimated to be completed by June, according to project registration information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The new Whataburger will take over the former Fuddruckers site on Hwy. 59, and will replace the existing site on the same road, according to construction signage.
