Molly Tea has locations of its prime tea house in the United States in New York, California and Chicago.

However, according to a project filing listed on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website, the tea house is anticipated to expand to Houston.

Details on the project include a construction start date of Sept. 15, with an anticipated completion date in March of 2026. The $150,000 project includes remodeling an existing 1,600 square feet of office space along Bellaire Boulevard.

What's special about it?

Molly Tea is a modern tea shop, originally from Shenzhen, China, that specializes in floral milk teas, according to the shop's website. The brand is known for using high-quality tea leaves and fresh ingredients, with a focus on the aroma and taste of jasmine tea. In fact, Molly Tea's name is a phonetic translation of "Mò Lì," which means jasmine in Chinese.


"Molly Tea is dedicated to the ultimate exploration of all things Jasmine," a statement on the website reads. "It is continuously innovating with passion and determination."

On the menu

The menu includes three main series: the milk tea series that includes hot or cold options such as jasmine, osmanthus, white champaca, gardenia, peach oolong and dancong oolong; a snowy whipped cream series with jasmine cream frappe; and a fresh oat milk tea series.
